12.09.2022 - «Your financial institution» notifies you that your account is blocked and that you should update your credit card details using the link in the message. Or that you supposedly paid an invoice twice and are now entitled to a refund. All you have to do is click on the link in the message. Do not do this under any circumstances!
Do not follow the link in the email from "your financial institution", as it will take you to an identical-looking website set up by the fraudsters rather than to the original website of the relevant service provider. This is how fraudsters try to obtain confidential information such as credit card numbers and passwords.
- Never enter a password or credit card number on a page you reached via a link in a message. It is most likely a phishing attempt.
