From 13 to 15 May 2024, the director of the National Cyber Security Centre, Florian Schütz, will be in the UK to attend two major international cybersecurity events, CyberUK and the Counter Ransomware Initiative (CRI) Policy Pillar and ICRTF Meeting, both being held in Birmingham.
CyberUK
CyberUK is a flagship event bringing together leaders and experts from around the world to discuss cybersecurity challenges and opportunities. During this event, Mr Schütz will meet with some of his foreign counterparts to discuss various current cyber issues and the challenges they pose for cybersecurity in Switzerland.
Counter Ransomware Initiative (CRI) Policy Pillar and ICRTF Meeting
The CRI is a strategic platform where decision-makers and experts come together to develop political and technical strategies as well as technical means to counter the growing threat of ransomware. Switzerland plays a leading role in this context, not least thanks to its prominent role in the Incident Reporting project of the CRI Policy Pillar.
The participation of the NCSC director at this event underscores Switzerland's commitment to strengthening international cooperation in the fight against ransomware and to promoting innovative solutions to protect Swiss businesses, institutions and citizens from this persistent threat.
