NCSC Director Florian Schütz visiting WEF Annual Meeting on Cybersecurity and Singapore International Cyberweek

17.10.2025 - Florian Schütz, Director of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), is representing Switzerland at two major international cybersecurity forums this month, one in Dubai and one in Singapore. By contributing to discussions on global cyber resilience, artificial intelligence and international cooperation, he is advocating for a secure and resilient digital future, and reinforcing Switzerland's role as an active partner in global cyberpolicy.

From 13 to 15 October, NCSC Director Florian Schütz was in Dubai for the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting on Cybersecurity. While there, he took part in a number of high-level events, including a panel discussion entitled 'Trust, Tensions and Trade-Offs', in which he discussed the impact of geopolitical fragmentation on cyber resilience. At a 'Cyber Chiefs' breakfast event, he met with international counterparts to discuss the most pressing cybersecurity challenges. During the 'Global Security in the Era of AI' workshop, Mr Schütz discussed the opportunities and risks associated with artificial intelligence in the context of global security, emphasising the importance of collaborative protective measures. The conference also included various networking opportunities that supported bilateral exchange.

Mr Schütz will also be taking part in the Singapore International Cyber Week (SICW) from 21 to 23 October. He will join international experts at the 'Cyber Accountability Event' and attend an industry lunch hosted by the Swiss Embassy in Singapore, which will bring together representatives from business, academia and diplomacy. He will also hold bilateral meetings with cybersecurity stakeholders, including Singapore's Cyber Security Agency. The aim of these discussions is to strengthen international cooperation and develop shared positions on future challenges and opportunities in the field of cybersecurity.

In attending these events, Mr Schütz is demonstrating Switzerland's active involvement in international cybersecurity efforts and the NCSC's dedication to ensuring a secure and resilient digital future.
