S-U-P-E-R.ch - Fake fees

08.09.2022 - «Your parcel is on its way and will be delivered to you as soon as possible. However, we are still awaiting your payment». This is what your alleged parcel delivery service or the customs authority purportedly tells you by email or text message. You are supposed to confirm your delivery by clicking on the link. Don't!

The link in the supposed parcel delivery confirmation leads to a phishing site that requires your credit card details, or to a subscription scam where an attractive prize such as an iPhone beckons. In actual fact, however, you unknowingly take out a multi-year subscription that is subject to a charge.

  • Do not respond to this sort of request; delete the message or report it as spam. Genuine delivery services and the customs authority do not collect postage or fees in this way.
  • If you really are expecting a delivery, compare the consignment number and, if in doubt, contact your parcel delivery service or the customs authority.
  • Even if prompted to do so, do not buy a paysafecard, enter any credit card details or transmit any payment codes.
